About Laura

Laura Powers helps leaders and their teams unleash their power to thrive in change by tapping into their latent potential. With 25+ years of product development experience ranging from R&D to marketing, sales and professional services – Laura has been involved in the design of electronics for space applications, aircraft engines, diapers, electric cars, complex software systems, and custom electro-mechanical systems.

She received her BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and holds numerous certifications including Prosci Change Management, CSM, CSPO, CSP, and SPC5. Laura is the 2019 and 2020 co-chair for the Coaching & Mentoring track for Agile Alliance, and co-founded the San Francisco chapter of Women in Agile. She teaches Agile Foundations and Agile Leadership at Stanford Continuing Studies Program, and was named a “Silicon Valley Woman of Influence in 2019.” Laura currently serves as the COO of the Business Agility Institute.
