Agile Leadership Journey's mission is to inspire, catalyze and grow better leaders, teams and organizations.
We believe this mission is best accomplished through collaboration and community. Our program team, our community of leaders, coaches and trainers, and our Agile Leadership Journey™ curriculum and resources, create an ecosystem that develops the awareness and capability of leaders and organizations to improve business outcomes in highly complex, uncertain, and rapidly changing environments.
For more than 20 years, Pete Behrens has mentored leadership and organizational agility, scaling agile long before the emergence of the prominent scaling frameworks. As a thought leader, Pete developed the Certified Enterprise Coaching (CEC) Program in 2007 and the Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) Program in 2016 for the Scrum Alliance®. In his own training and consulting firm, Trail Ridge, he developed a curriculum for what was then called an Agile Leadership Workshop. Based on three decades of research and models, this curriculum became the foundation for our leadership development and culture shaping programs.
Born from the desire to reach and catalyze more leaders, Pete envisioned a global community of leadership coaches and trainers to expand the reach of the Agile Leadership Journey™ curriculum he developed. Agile Leadership Journey was launched as a program in 2018 and established as a Colorado-based organization in 2021.
Today, more than 45 Guides around the globe align their practice, collaborate with each other, and deliver our well-established and trusted curriculum and programs to their clients and within their organizations worldwide.
Consistent with what we teach in our curriculum, our values shape our culture, informing how we work together and with others. They are central to our identity as an organization and foundational to our Guide Community and the ecosystem we have created.
