Agile Leadership Journey (ALJ) provides a curriculum and community that inspires and catalyzes leaders to change themselves and their organizations for improved performance and health. To this end, we license our curriculum, materials, and access to our Guide community via two pathways:
While leadership education and coaching are powerful tools that activate critical change within an organization, they are expensive. For organizations with internal training capability, corporate licensing provides an opportunity to lower the cost of scaling a quality leadership development program throughout their organization, aligning, and engaging their leaders through a shared language and experience. The corporate licensing also serves to further develop the organization’s internal trainers and coaches and helps to retain and engage that in-house talent.
At the same time, Licensees retain the ability to leverage our Agile Leadership Journey professional trainers and coaches to engage their most senior leadership team and change agents in their own leadership development as well as in key organization-wide programs and initiatives.
The Agile Leadership Journey™ curriculum is the most recognized and respected in the agile leadership space. Our research-based and pragmatic programs have been taught around the globe to thousands of leaders with a proven impact that inspires, educates, catalyzes, and develops leaders. A corporate license enables organizations to bring our foundational leadership training, the Agility in Leadership Workshop, directly into their organization.
Corporate licensees have the ability to customize the delivery of the curriculum in their organization, integrate it with other existing training and development programs, and align it with corporate values and objectives. The size and pace of the workshops may be adapted to meet the organization’s needs with internal educators and coaches.
Agile Leadership Journey works with Corporate Licensees to ensure the delivery of the Agility in Leadership™ Workshops meets our high standards through a comprehensive trainer vetting process, the preparation of Internal ALJ Guides to teach the curriculum, and the ongoing development of Licensee’s internal trainers and coaches.
For internal employee trainers or agile coaches who are nominated by the Licensee to become Internal ALJ Guides, the process starts with a Guide application and an interview with Agile Leadership Journey staff. Candidates are evaluated and must meet ALJ’s education and experience requirements in leadership, training and/or coaching, and agile ways of working and/or agile transformation as well as meet core competency requirements.
Accepted candidates are eligible to participate in the Agile Leadership Journey Train-the-Trainer program (facilitated online) which includes:
This online program prepares internal ALJ Guides to facilitate the Agility in Leadership™ Workshop online to leaders within the Licensee organization.
For organizations that desire in-person facilitation of the Agility in Leadership™ Workshop by their Internal ALJ Guides, additional training is required. We encourage in-person training when that is viable, however, we do not require it.
An in-person Train-the-Trainer is optional as many large organizations are seeking to scale this training across departments, regions, and geographies via online facilitation. Therefore, for organizations seeking in-person facilitation of training as well as online, we offer this as an optional additional service.
The training, support, and ongoing development of Internal ALJ Guides continues after the Train-the-Trainer program ends through both continuing education courses and optional learning opportunities.
Trainers are enrolled in our advanced leadership development program to gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum and to continue to develop themselves as leaders. Additionally, they are invited to global masterclasses and topic explorations, chats, book reviews, and other community events to continue to hone their skills.
The introductory Agility in Leadership™ Workshop is a first step in developing leaders, however, leadership development takes dedicated practice and reinforcement.
Each year under the corporate license, key leaders within the organization may be nominated to apply for participation in our global Applied Agility in Leadership™ Program. For Corporate License clients this provides an opportunity to recognize, engage, and invest in key employees who are active in shaping the organizational culture through their leadership.
