Agile Leadership Journey™ develops more creative, adaptive and resilient leaders through training and coaching. We start by educating and empowering team, organizational, and executive leaders in addition to those leading in unique, non-traditional managerial roles. The purpose of this education and empowerment is to help change their own thinking and behaviors, shaping micro-cultures through more effective engagements. Essentially, we build better, more effective leaders.

Our leadership training programs provide tools to understand and shape their organization or team-based culture for agility and change. Rather than teaching agile methods to leaders, we focus on emotional intelligence and the mindset of leaders. As a result, we enable leadership potential that fosters more agile ways of working.
We believe that leadership style can be developed, and it is our goal to inspire, educate and coach leaders to improve their effectiveness in leading change.
We believe that learning is never done. Although a leadership training program or coaching session may be complete, the practice of agile leadership is ongoing. While we do award badges and certificates upon completion of our leadership development programs, this is not representative of the idea that the work is complete. In fact, it represents a foundation that the rest of the work will be built upon.
We believe that agile is a mindset, not simply a workflow practice. Although aspects of our curriculum may be familiar to those who know agile processes in the software development or tech space, our programs are designed for anyone in a leadership or influence role regardless of industry.
This leadership training workshop is the introduction to awareness practices and the starting point in our Agility in Leadership™ Series. Participants are introduced to the Leadership Agility Framework and core catalyst practices to improve self-awareness, situational adaptiveness, communication, and influence. This leadership workshop helps to broaden perspectives, engage stakeholders, co-create solutions, and foster innovation.
This workshop provides the context, framework, and tools for leaders to improve their own leadership awareness and adaptiveness to improve engagement and outcomes.
This leadership training explores work culture and how leaders align, focus, and accelerate change throughout organizations. This first step in our Agility in Organizations™ Series helps leaders learn to identify and shape culture toward more iterative, adaptive, innovative, and sustainable practices. Participants are introduced to the context of business agility and culture, the Competing Values Framework, and key levers and leadership focus to develop increased business agility.
This workshop provides the context, framework, and tools for leaders to develop awareness of organizational culture and systems to improve business agility, performance, and health.
These 12-week intensive courses are only offered publicly twice a year with cohorts starting in March and September.
Developing a Growth Mindset™ is the next step on the leadership journey after Agility in Leadership™ and fulfills the first half of our Applied Agility in Leadership™ Certification Program. In this course, participants explore their orientation as a leader from an expert, achiever, and catalyst perspective to improve their awareness, thinking, and behaviors for greater effectiveness.
Cohorts for this immersive learning, application, and practice form each March and September and span three months with 90-minute weekly cohort sessions, monthly global masterclasses, and one-on-one coaching.
Developing Catalyst Behaviors™ is the third educational offering and is taken after Developing a Growth Mindset™. This course fulfills the second half of our Applied Agility in Leadership™ Certification Program. In this course, participants explore their presence and balance their power as a leader to strengthen stakeholder relationships and improve team engagement.
Cohorts for this immersive learning, application, and practice form each March and September and span three months with 90-minute weekly cohort sessions, monthly global masterclasses, and one-on-one coaching.
The second level of our Agility in Leadership™ Series, this two-part leadership development program dives deeper into practicing the skills learned in the Agility in Leadership™ workshop - developing awareness, situational adaptiveness, social engagement, and strategic orientation to improve leadership capacity.
In Developing a Growth Mindset™, participants explore their orientation as a leader from an expert, achiever, and catalyst perspective to improve awareness, thinking, and behaviors.
In Developing Catalyst Behaviors™, participants explore their presence and balance their power as a leader to strengthen stakeholder relationships and improve team engagement.
Cohorts for this immersive learning, application, and practice form each March and September and involves 90-minute weekly cohort sessions, one-on-one coaching, and monthly global masterclasses in two three month courses.
The second level of our Agility in Organizations™ Series, this program exposes, aligns and directs leaders toward improved business agility through the exploration of cultural values. This program is limited to private engagements within organizations.
Participants use the Competing Values Framework to situationally identify, direct, and begin to shape organizational culture for improved performance and health. Leaders will run experiments to shape the culture in their organization to improve business performance and organizational health. This program helps leaders within an organization identify and shape their organizational culture to enable, support, and grow agile ways of working.
Leadership teams and dedicated change teams may apply for this immersive learning, application, and coaching program, which is structured to meet organizational needs typically over a three to twelve month period.
Part of our Agility in Leadership™ Series, this program is focused on vertical development and provides a direct connection for leaders who to see the impact of their expert, achiever and catalyst biases on their leadership effectiveness.
This personalized leadership program pairs a ChangeWise Leadership Agility 360 Assessment with one-on-one professional leadership coaching. The tool assesses the leader's current leadership agility level and provides a detailed report of their leadership thinking and behaviors. Through the debriefing process and one-on-one coaching, participants are provided with an actionable roadmap for the next steps on their leadership career journey.
This program supports both individual leaders and leadership teams at any point on their leadership journeys.
Part of our Agility in Organizations™ Series, this program provides leaders with a detailed view of their organization's culture based on the Competing Values Framework as perceived by both employees and leadership.
Our Culture Values 360 Assessment identifies key gaps in the current state versus the desired state related to the organization's cultural values at various leadership levels, departments, divisions, locations, business units, and other organizational dimensions. Professional leadership and transformation coaches help organizations align their focus, shape the desired culture, and improve business agility.
In this program, leadership and change teams engage in up to eight coaching sessions focused on improved organizational alignment and business performance.
Upon successful completion of our leadership training programs, participants receive validated certificates and badges from Agile Leadership Journey to recognize their work toward completion of that particular course of study and practice.
Agile Leadership Journey offers two levels of certified agile leadership:
Importantly, however, we believe that completion of a course and receiving certification is not the goal. Rather, they are stepping stones that begin the next leg on a leader’s journey. Our learning and practice as leaders are never done and our journeys are best travelled in community.
Agility in Organizations™ helps leaders align, focus, and accelerate change throughout their organizations.
This leadership workshop is focused on developing women leaders, improving organizational leadership, and shaping culture. It is offered to the public occasionally and may be scheduled for groups and organizations.
Covering both halves of our Leadership Journey Compass™, this program combines our Agility in Leadership™ and Agility in Organizations™ workshops with a specialized focus on developing adaptive leadership skills and strategies for women to improve their own and their organization’s performance.
Our Train-the-Trainer program is for large organizations that want to bring the Agile Leadership Journey™ curriculum into their internal training and development portfolio.
Whether you have an existing leadership training program or desire to start a new one, this program coupled with corporate licensing develops and authorizes internal trainers and coaches to teach Agility in Leadership™ workshops to employees within your organization.
ALJ Guides are trainers and coaches who provide leadership training workshops, coaching, and consulting both in-person and online. Public workshops are offered with a variety of scheduling options, depending on the ALJ Guide leading the course. Private workshops can be customized to your team's schedule.
Whether in person or online, our workshops and programs are designed to be engaging and interactive. We utilize powerful visual facilitation and interactive online learning platforms to fully engage leaders in the learning process.
