Guide Journey
The Agile Leadership Journey™ is not only for leaders. It is also for active and aspiring leaders, trainers, and coaches who are seeking to use their education, experience, and passion to grow better leaders. We are seeking experienced individuals of such backgrounds to join our ALJ Guide Community. Let’s help you continue your journey in guiding other leaders.
Why Become a Guide?
Agile leadership is, and will be for the foreseeable future, a valuable and dynamic space. There is no commonly agreed upon definition of “agile leadership,” making it difficult for companies to know where to go and who to trust. Agile Leadership Journey provides a global backbone and a community for Guides to align their practice and tools, collaborate with peers, and rely on a well-established curriculum that companies already trust. For more than 10 years, this curriculum has been delivering impactful results for over 10,000 leaders.
The ALJ Guide Community provides a network for expert guides to engage and continue to evolve themselves within this important and growing field. Furthermore, ALJ provides centralized marketing, coordinated global programs, ongoing personal development, and operational support. This affords Guides the opportunity to focus on their own growth, better serve their clients, and develop more effective leaders.
ALJ Guide Pathway Requirements
We invite experienced leaders, trainers, and coaches into our community if they meet our baseline education and experience requirements and demonstrate our
values. Approved members have access to the ALJ Community ecosystem and are further developed into ALJ Guides who are capable of educating and coaching other leaders.
Leadership Education and Experience
ALJ Guides connect to leaders through their own learning and experiences. They share their own leadership success and failure stories. A tangible demonstration of significant leadership education and experience is required in order to apply.
Training and/or Coaching Education and Experience
ALJ Guides develop leaders and organizations by creating new awareness through training and building competency through coaching. Demonstrated education and experience in training and/or coaching is necessary in order to apply.
Agile Education and Experience
ALJ Guides are focused on agility as a core competency in developing leaders and organizations. Therefore, agile education and experience is required in order to apply.

ALJ Guides are the face of our movement and represent our brand. Therefore, the ability to demonstrate professional integrity aligned to our values of Growth Mindset, Authenticity, Leadership, Excellence, Inclusion, and Community are required in order to apply. See our

How to Become an ALJ Guide
STEP 1
Complete the Agile Leadership Journey™ Agility in Leadership and Agility in Organizations workshops.
STEP 2
Submit a request for an Agile Leadership Journey Guide Application.
STEP 3
Upon application review, applicants may be invited to complete an interview with two members of the ALJ Team.
STEP 4
If approved to proceed, candidates will be invited to join the ALJ Community, enter into a License Agreement with ALJ, and start on their journey as an ALJ Guide.
